In 1994 the Scarborough Beach Association presented the inaugural
"Carols by the Clocktower"
It has been an annual event ever since
8000 people attended in 1998

This event is a gift to the community from the local business people to endorse the importance of families celebrating together and enhance the spirit of Christmas.
All proceeds from the sale of programs and candles go to Perth Legacy, the sole beneficiary. For the past 70 years Legacy has been dedicated to the welfare and support of widows and children of deceased war veterans who took part in any operational campaigns in which Australia has been involved. This ranges from World War I through to the Gulf War and most recently to include the Black Hawk disaster and the fire aboard the HMAS Westralia.

In 1998 "Carols by the Clocktower" expanded into a full day of fun for everyone
